| Kristin's
love for decorative painting began early in life working in many art mediums
such as ceramics, sculpture, portraiture.
While working
for a designer at a local theater, she faux finished and designed
stage sets.
She graduated
from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, in oil
painting and human figure drawing. Later attending Cal State Northridge for
further graduate artistic studies. |

Her extensive
training in the arts including apprenticeships with a bronze foundry, and
masters of the decorative painting industry has given her a heightened
awareness how to replicate natural surfaces such as wood, stone and metals
in painted finishes. She
is an accomplished faux and decorative artist and has built a successful
faux finishing business. Founder of The Art of Style and Co-founder of
The
Finishing Studio llc, She has been trained extensively in old world,
traditional, and contemporary faux finish techniques; apprenticing with
masters of the industry. |
| She
has also been active in conservation and restoration work.
Major commissions have included rooms and furniture in the
Wrigley Mansion
in Phoenix, AZ
Gilding, repairing artwork, and redefining the lost
wood grain, bringing the mansion back to its former beauty. |

With
these skills and artistic training she has developed a portfolio of
highly refined and innovative original finishes. Her
company has since worked in Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas, and having
executed faux finish\ and art commissions across North America. |
